Jean Liggett

Jean Liggett is the Managing Director of Properties of the World.

Jean boasts 12 years’ experience in this industry and comes from a long lineage of property investors and developers, going back to the mid-1940s in the USA.

Properties of the World help property buyers make informed decisions on UK properties for investment and work as their partners in this journey. A core focus at Properties of the World is UK hotel room investments and Afan Valley Adventure Resort.

Properties of the World were the first agent of the developers of Afan Valley Adventure Resort, having worked with the Northern Powerhouse Developments Group (NPD) for almost 7 years. They are also a Key Partner of NPD.

Indeed, Jean has invested in a hotel room at Llandudno Bay Hotel within NPD’s hotel group, the sister company to Afan Valley Adventure Resort. Her colleague Michael is also an investor, having bought 2 hotel rooms.

When Jean was first introduced to the concept of Afan Valley Adventure Resort back in January 2016 by Gavin Woodhouse Chairman of NPD, she thought ‘there is nothing like this and this is exactly what the market needs.’ Fast forwarding to May 2017, Jean and her team visited the Afan Valley site with Peter Moore OBE and became even more convinced of Afan Valley Adventure Resort. She was also super confident that the team assembled to deliver Afan Valley Adventure Resort (Peter Moore, OBE, Omar Homes, Landal Green Parks, Bear Grylls Survival Academy, Powell Dobson Architects, AECON…) would deliver.

She recognised that AVAR was the next big thing since Center Parcs. That there is an ever-growing demand for activity based holidays and a huge call to deliver an all-encompassing adventure experience in one location – that’s what Afan uniquely does.

Properties of the World’s clients love Afan Valley and she cannot remember a time when investors get so excited about a development.

Properties of the World have been featured in walesonline, the Times, Sunday Times, Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, Property Week, City AM, the Mirror, the Sunday Express, Yorkshire Post, and BBC Radio.

Properties of the World was also asked by Rt Hon Philip Hammond, Chancellor of the Exchequer, to be featured in the prestigious Parliamentary Review: it includes forewords by Theresa May and Philip Hammond . Feel free to ask Jean for a copy of this.

Before Jean worked in property, She worked in senior positions and/or consulted for blue chip companies including , Ogilvy & Mather (New York & London), Capital Radio, Virgin Media, H. Bauer Publishing, EMAP Plc. and Hachette Filipacchi Médias.

Jean has an MBA from Cass Business School (part of the University of London) and a BA in History from Kenyon College, USA.

With an ever-growing demand for activity-based holidays and a huge call to deliver an all-encompassing adventure experience in one spectacular UK location, Afan Valley Adventure Resort is coming at exactly the right time.

Providing a comprehensive mix of healthy and exhilarating activities, relaxation and social interaction in a stunning and dramatic landscape, this all-weather, all-year-round resort will deliver a concept that will be in line with government strategies.

Peter Moore OBE takes you on a journey to discover how this unique resort will change the economic landscape of Wales and set the standard for a new breed of adventure holiday.
