Allerthorpe Golf Club closed its doors back in 2013 but it is now set to re-open alongside 150 new luxury holiday homes.

Park Leisure have taken over the former golf club at Allerthorpe to bring life back into it by converting it into a five-star luxury holiday park.

The new development will feature 150 luxury holiday homes and will create over 40 jobs.

According to Park Leisure, the park’s development has already attracted great interest amongst buyers, meaning the homes expect to sell very quickly.

Co-founder and CEO of Park Leisure, Miles Dewhurst, said: “Home to our headquarters and three of our existing parks, Yorkshire is incredibly important to us as a business, and we’re pleased to extend our holiday home offering within the region.”

“Allerthorpe is ideally situated in an idyllic rural setting within easy reach of York, and provides us with a fantastic opportunity to contribute to Yorkshire’s growing popularity as one of the most desirable holiday locations in the UK.”

The luxury park and golf course are set to open in spring 2018 and will remain operational all year round.
