The biggest holiday park in North Wales is planning to spend £12.5m during the coming winter. Over the last 2 years the site has invested in a new pool complex, apartment upgrades, and a lodge & lake scheme. In the current year alone, Haven has spent £5.5m on revamping the site.
Andrew Baker, general manager at Hafan-y-Mor, said, “The plans include the development of a new activities adventure park, the demolition of part of an existing restaurant and entertainment venue and the construction of a new high-quality restaurant, pub and new holiday home owners facility.
“Phase two of the plans also include an extension to the indoor sports building which will include further new activities.”
This will inevitably create dozens of new roles, adding to the 390 workers already employed at the site, which attracts more than 200,000 visitors to North Wales every year.
This is all great news for the long-term future of the site as it booms on the back of an increase in staycations breaks and the growing reputation of North Wales as one of the UK top destinations for visitors.
Many other holiday sites have followed suit with millions of pounds invested across the region.
